The Federal Emergency Management Agency provides a lot of information on disaster plans, preparations, and recovery. This site has information on mitigation, different types of hazards, and how to protect yourself, your family, and your community.

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention has information on everything from healthy living, violence and safety, to environmental issues. On this site you can also find data and statistics on over thirty different topics such as healthy water and foodborne illnesses.

The mission of the United Nations Environment program is to provide leadership and encourage partnership in caring for the environment by inspiring, informing, and enabling nations and peoples to improve their qualities of life without compromising that of future generations.
